Has anyone stayed at any of these resorts lately,
Club Geopremiere, Geo Group at Lake Morency (same resort different I.D. #'s) and Club Hotel Chateau Montcalm?
I have started an ongoing search for this July.

I was told that the mosquitoes are really bad in the Mont Tremblant area during the summer months.

We were at Mont Tremblant the first week of August and did a lot of hiking - never got bitten by mosquitos or blackflies from my recollection. On the other hand we were in Vermont at Mount Snow the last week in June and the blackflies were unbearable. The later on in the summer that you go, the less bugs there will be. I would think that the other resorts that you noted would also have mosquito problems. I don't know how true this is but someone (who has a condo at Tremblant) commented that they spray for mosquitos around Tremblant so that they don't bother the tourists.

Harmina,
I am a Geopremiere member, are you? I am planning a return trip to St. Hippolyte we were there 3 years ago ( of all the resorts this was the cleanest. We have been trying to locate other Geo members because we are not satisfied with the organization. From the other resorts within the club we have been dissatisfied with Turtle Reef in Florida. This last year we went to St. Martin at Guana Bay. Save your money, what we received was terrible. Geo has been uncooperative everytime we have made a complaint or suggestion. They even hit us with an additional fee this year because they didn't pay their GST to the Canadian government. We asked them to start a chat room for members and they flatly refused to entertain the idea(no reason). If you are a member I would like to hear from you.

I own at Club Intrawest in Tremblant, and have never been bothered by bugs of any kind - have been there in June and August in summer. If you need details on the resort units, let me know. We love it.

I was successful in getting an exchange for Club Intrawest-Mont Tremblant for June 16 check-in. I received a bedroom unit in exchange for my 1 bedroom unit at Carriage Hills.

Harmina, I hope you like Intrawest as much as we do! June 16 is still before peak summer season, so you may be able to request a particular type of 1 BR if it's important to you - though I don't know whether with an exchange you do get a choice. As owners we can request specific types with our points. In any case it might be worth a phonecall for you.

There are basically 2 types of 1BRs in each of two different locations - the "older section" (which is not very old) and in the newer "Les Terrasses" section. Both have 1BRs with either 1 or 2 baths. The older section is right on the golf course fairway, whereas Les Terrasses are off to the side a bit, and have great views of Mont Tremblant and Lac Tremblant, and also access to an additional outdoor jacuzzi (great in January...) and barbeque area in addition to the main jacuzzi at the clubhouse and another barbeque area by the golfcourse. The ones with 1 bath are on one level, and the one we stayed in in the older section had an indoor jacuzzi (though I don't know if this is true of all of them). The 1BR two-bath we stayed in in Les Terrasses was on two levels, with no indoor jacuzzi, and in fact the bathtub and sink upstairs were open without any door between them and the bed, which we found strange. But the view, and having 2 bathrooms was important to us that time (though my golfing inlaws preferred the golf course view). It depends on the number of people you have going. All of the units are in great shape, so it doesn't matter that much if you don't get a choice.

I hope it's cooler when you go then when we went last June (first weekend) when it was close to 90 degrees F every day (sorry don't know exactly what that translates into in C, but it was HOT!). However it wasn't humid at all, and no bugs. Enjoy!

Thanks Skaufma. The place sounds incredible! I have checked the units out on their web-site. The units look very upscale in regards to the furnishings. I guess one can't go wrong with an Intrawest property. I forgot to ask RCI which unit # we were assigned.
Perhaps they are done at check-in. The description in the information does show a indoor jacuzzi for the one bedroom units.

Aptiva- I am planning on being at the next TUG meeting.
rmspataro- We are not owners of Geopremiere resorts.
I spoke with someone else recently and she mentioned about the back GST that is now being charged to their owners.
She walked away from her ownership. She just recently lost her job and just couldn't afford it.
