I have a question regarding the fairness of occupancy limits. I own at Cape Winds (CWR) and is a 4/2 occupancy. It is shown through II as sleeps 2. I could live with that if all units were based on private occuapncy. My unit is the 2 story townhouse type unit.

I then am searching through exchanges and noticed the following:

Marriott's Manor Club Sequel • MSE
Williamsburg Plantation • WPN
Club Sunterra @ Powhatan Plantation • PWP
Sunterra @ Greensprings Plantation • GSS

There units are based on NON Private occupancy. There are also efficiencies that sleep 4?? How can this be as an efficiency is classified as a 1 room unit with bathroom.??

I would have a problem with my unit and I don't feel that my unit is being treated fairly based on just a search of Williamsburg. Why are some units based on non private and some private. I don't feel that a sleep sofa that who has to use another bedroom's bathroom equates to privacy. If that is the case then my 2 story unit actually would give you more privacy as each couple would sleep on 2 different floors sharing the same bathroom.

Thanks

mel

PS I am having fun with II searches and am not at all dissatisfied. I would at some point use II for all exchanges and at this point can not nor will use this resort with II as it downgrades my unit.

Please check the older threads as we have discussed this at length.

Whether you discussed it at legnth it is very unfair: which is one of the reasons has RCI has an adavantage. Hope one day it will be less of an advantage which will want me deposit 2 weeks with II (which is prime location) and has a bonus weeks which is offerered but not worth the trade. Instead of a bonus weeks give, the unit its" worth.

You shouldn't jump to conclusions; part of the discussion was a change was coming soon.

That is true Craig and I apologize. Yesterday was a bad day and should not of taken it out on you. I have been researching old threads. The issue with me is not necessarily so much on the searching but unit value. It seems to me illogical that a 1 br can only sleep 2 and an efficiency can sleep 4 if it is based on privacy. I guess that is my main question here.

Search results reflect the maximum sleeping capacity; not the private capacity. In most cases, the private capacity dictates the number of people who can be listed on a vacation request.

I do not think there is any inconsistency in the examples described. I believe you are looking at two different things as outlined above.
